One of the most common types of motorhomes is the Class C RV. This camper is built on a truck chassis and is very popular among

If you are looking for certain features or amenities, the Class C RV comes with a variety of options. Both gas and diesel engines are available. There are also models with sides that slide out to add more space to the interior or a wide body design that offers a width of 102 inches.

There are several pros and cons with the Class C RV:
Pros:
- Those who aren’t used to driving an RV will find that the Class C camper’s relatively small size makes it fairly easy to drive.
- Although the Class C is compact, it typically features as many beds as larger RVs.
- The Class C is less expensive than other larger motorhomes.
Cons:
- Space is limited and conditions may be a bit cramped.
- Sleeping may be a bit of a hassle as the beds need to be put together each night and put back in the morning.
- The size of the front windshield is often the same as the standard truck, which some drivers might find limiting.
Gas mileage typically isn’t much better than that of a much larger Class A RV. This means the Class C costs the same to drive but has much fewer features and amenities.
The Class C RV costs anywhere from $45,000 to $100,000 on average. This wide price range is reflective of the variety of sizes of the vehicle and the features offered.
